CAV for Graduate Students and Faculty

CAV membership is free for all Penn State faculty and students. CAV members have access to CAV labs and equipment (subject to availability), and valuable networking opportunities with other CAV members, as well as our corporate sponsors, and government and international liaisons.

One of the best benefits of being a CAV student member is receiving periodic emails with job openings in acoustics and vibration. Once you join, you'll be added to our distribution list as opportunities become available.

To join, simply choose a technical group you’d like to affiliated with, and contact the group leader. Please also email Dr. Steve Hambric at sah19@psu.edu your name, email address, and technical group so we can add you to our email list for future events.

Each group holds a technical lunchtime seminar each semester, with talks given by other CAV members or outside guests. Each group also presents highlights of member research at our annual workshop. Both the seminars and workshop are great ways to broaden your network and provide opportunities for collaboration with other CAV members and our corporate sponsors.
