CAV for Graduate Students and Faculty

CAV membership is free for all Penn State faculty and students. CAV members have access to CAV labs and equipment (subject to availability), and valuable networking opportunities with other CAV members, as well as our corporate sponsors, and government and international liaisons.

One of the best benefits of being a CAV student member is receiving periodic emails with job openings in acoustics and vibration. Once you join, you'll be added to our distribution list as opportunities become available.

To join, please complete the following steps.

  1. Choose a technical group you’d like to be affiliated with
  2. Contact the group leader
  3. Submit this form to be added to our membership database.

If you have administrative or logistic questions, please reach out to Kelly Driftmier at kmd5315@psu.edu

Each group holds a technical lunchtime seminar each semester, with talks given by other CAV members or outside guests. Each group also presents highlights of member research at our annual workshop. Both the seminars and workshop are great ways to broaden your network and provide opportunities for collaboration with other CAV members and our corporate sponsors.
