Corporate Sponsorship

Donations from our corporate sponsors help support the CAV, allowing us to host our yearly Spring Workshop, maintain our lab spaces and equipment, and hold group seminars each semester with distinguished speakers from outside Penn State.

Corporate sponsorship provides several benefits, including:

Admission to our two-day Annual Workshop, which includes technical exchanges focusing on new and emerging technologies, as well as opportunities to recruit graduating Penn State M.S. and Ph.D. students, consult with Penn State faculty, and meet members of our foreign university liaisons
One day of individualized educational guidance with any of our CAV faculty members, either here at Penn State or at your facility
A tuition waiver for any CAV short course (offered annually)
Admission to our technical group lunches held throughout each semester via videoconferencing over the internet, where you can learn about technology developments from leaders within and outside Penn State

In many cases, CAV-based networking has led to cooperation on technology projects between corporate sponsors and Penn State.

About

The Center for Acoustics and Vibration performs basic and applied research in vibration and acoustics, supports graduate education, and transfers technology to U.S. industry and government. The center includes faculty, graduate students, and staff in laboratories throughout the College of Engineering and at the Applied Research Lab. These laboratories perform both disciplinary and cross-disciplinary research in areas related to acoustics and vibration.
